Once I hit forty, friends and family started “warning” me that, in addition to seeing more gray hairs and wrinkles, I would notice a decline in my overall body performance (e.g., eyesight waning, energy levels declining, metabolism slowing).
While this has been fairly accurate, being a middle-aged woman is far from the doom and gloom the media portrays. If you believe what you see in the media, attractive middle-aged women are catty, desperate housewives or cougars, and those that aren’t super model material are invisible.
In reality, the middle-aged women I know are:
• Smart
• Funny
• Sexy
• Supportive
Additionally, they are:
• Going a million miles an hour
• Sometimes stressed out
• Doing what they can to stay active and engaged
This website will celebrate the positive aspects of being a woman amid life and share resources for making the most of this stage of life.
